GWSC Water Visitor Center is an educational facility that aims to educate the community about the importance of water conservation by dynamic, fun and interactive activities that make education entertaining and informative; they will learn about:

City Centre Rotana Doha has started Using Paper straw instead of plastic straw in all the outlets which is a great move towards sustainability & eradication of plastic. In the week of sustainability it will be ensured that all our in house guests are advised about use of plastic straws in guest rooms as well.

1.      Switch standard lighting to LED Lighting to conserve energy

2.      Regulate AC temperatures to conserve energy

3.      Paper recycling campaign with EPR

مسابقة ومجلة مواهب الاستدامة 2021، هي مسابقة وطنية على مستوى المدارس الشريكة لمنظمة علم لأجل قطر وتهدف الى إكتشاف وتنمية المواهب في مدارس دولة قطر، وإثراء الحياة التعليمية بمفاهيم وقيم الاستدامة المنبثقة من رؤية قطر 2030، وتعزيز التعاون والشراكة وتبادل الخبرات والمعرفة بين مدارس دولة قطر. سيشارك في المسابقة ما لا يقل عن 50 طالب وطالبة وسيتم إصدار مجلة مواهب الاستدامة إلكترونياً وتوزيع نسخة ورقية منها تحفظ في مكتبة المدارس المشاركة.

YTD Carrefour has had light saving amounting to 6,700 tons of CO2 emission by usage of LED lighting in all stores and accommodation, applying the double glazing door insulation for refrigeration cabinets, VFD Variable frequency dryer for Refrigeration racks, UPS and chillers, Replacing CC chillers with latest technology system for energy saving. Children and staff carpool to school or walk to school on the 7th and 8th of November.During the Qatar Sustainability Week October 23-30th October DESS is on mid term break . Hence, we will be celebrating Qatar Sustainability Week at DESS from 7th to 11th November.
