We will be taking visitors on a tour around the visitor center. Visitors will pass through five sections.They will see a video about water around the world. They will explore the technology used in water desalination in Qatar. They will learn about the water situation in Qatar. Also we will be talking about other technologies that are used in cleaning and producing water.

Paid Event - QAR 300 / person. A family friendly day-long activity where we depart from Doha to stop-over at Al Dosari Zoo and / or Sheikh Faisal's Museum. We then head to Umm Bab where the desert roses are found. Then we head towards a nearby farm to have lunch (outdoors). After which, we catch the sunset at Dukhan beach (swimming is allowed) and visualize the night-lights at the beautiful Camel Racing Track in Shahaniya.

The Hotel are planning to arrange a Sustainable Lunch for Team Members at their Cafeteria with a pizza / finger food which will help them to reduce the food wastage. Trash bins will be removed as well to engage team members with the awareness.

Celebrate Sustainability Week by learning about the life cycle of plants. Activities include story time, creation of a life cycle wheel and planting a tomato seedling to take home. Fees:QR 50/35 for Maktaba members.

Formal opening of the DESS Community Garden – a garden which serves as an educational resource to the pupils of Doha English Speaking School (DESS) as well as the wider community of Qatar. The garden is made from 95% recycled materials, uses renewable sources of energy (solar and wind) to power features of the garden and captures data for environmental research for use by DESS pupils and the wider community in Qatar. This is a closed event and is by invitation only.

Four and One will develop a sustainability project for the reduction of gas emissions and road traffic. The team will meet together and coordinate the concept, design and implementation of the project. The innovation will cover car pooling on apps, understanding road traffic and recommending better solutions as part of the smart city.

Paid Event - QAR 500 / person. For this package, we start in the afternoon and reach at Zubarah Fort around 3PM where we stay for an hour. A tour guide from 365 Adventures will provide an educational tour at Zubarah Fort. We then head towards Al Thakhira Mangroves reserve to catch the sunset in the middle of the mangroves forest -- the only natural forestation in the country. Our kayak tour guide will provide an educational tour about flora, fauna and marine life around the area. Also, guests will get an opportunity to experience fish-jumping while they kayak in the mangroves channel.

Free Open Day will take place on Friday the 17th of November, at Al Jazi Village 2 in Gharaffa. There will be rotations to try out different activities during our open day. These will include the following: - Basketball - Football - Monkeynastix - Tennis - MMA (Mixed Martial Arts including Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate) - Bricklyn Lego Education - Arts and Crafts - Gymnastics - Handball - Volleyball SFQ Sports Academy is the largest privately owned Sports Academy in Qatar.
