Waste management and recycling initiatives

Midmac & TAV JV is dedicated to achieving operational excellence in waste management, thereby bolstering its environmental sustainability initiatives. By actively encouraging waste reduction and recycling efforts, along with the strategic conservation of resources, we strive to lessen the environmental footprint of our site office operations. This commitment to sustainability is exemplified through several key features:

Carpooling

Students will advocate carpooling for the teachers. Teachers will be encouraged to share a car and come to school together. This cost-effective activity where people share rides in the same vehicle, typically to and from work, school, or other regular destinations is very ecofriendly. It helps reduce traffic congestion, lower fuel consumption, and decrease greenhouse gas emissions.

Cloth Donation (Reusing)

Implementing cloth recycling at QLA is a practical and educational initiative that can promote sustainability, teach students about responsible consumption, and reduce textile waste. It not only contributes to environmental sustainability but also instills valuable lessons about responsible consumption and waste reduction in students. It can become an integral part of the school's commitment to promoting eco-consciousness and community engagement.

Commitment towards disposing e-waste responsibly

By pledging to reduce, reuse, and recycle e-waste, the IT team at Readymix Qatar is taking a significant step toward sustainability. This commitment not only aligns with Holcim's sustainability ambitions but also sets a positive example for others in the industry. Every effort to minimize e-waste contributes to a healthier environment and promotes responsible consumption. It’s great to see organizations actively working towards a more sustainable future!
