Art Jameel and the British Council are launching a major programme to fund and nurture the role of the arts in addressing the climate crisis. Anhar: Culture and Climate Platform, a three-tiered programme that invites artists, collectives, and institutions based in the Arab world to submit proposals that engage meaningfully with the climate emergency. For Qatar Sustainability Week 2023, Dentons & Co is undertaking a clean-up exercise of its electronics and IT equipment, to be recycled by Seashore Recycling & Sustainability.

As part of our tree planting project involving the local community, together we have planted 3000 indigenous trees in Qatar from October last year until September 2023. Positive impact in terms of carbon sequestration 64,000 (inKgs). 

Our team is urged to take impactful yet simple steps to reduce our carbon footprint. From deactivating back-of-the-house elevators to embracing carpooling and minimizing energy consumption, these collective efforts contribute significantly to our sustainability goals.

We are encouraging our staff to embrace responsible consumption with our Zero Food Waste Day at the employee canteen, to reduce food waste and foster a culture of mindful dining. 

Naufar is actively managing their assets and extending the lifespan of their furniture pool by repairing broken items or combing several damaged ones into usable ones. This reduces the need to throw away furniture or buy new ones. Naufar is communicating the message that repairing furniture and embracing sustainability is not just for Sustainability Week but an ongoing commitment for our company.
