This innovative system helps significantly reduce the volume of food waste generated by our kitchens and dining outlets. By breaking down organic waste and converting it into nutrient-rich fertilizer, we not only minimize the environmental impact of food disposal but also create a sustainable solution for our hotel’s garden areas.

WATER CONSERVATION

We are committed to reducing water consumption through the use of advanced, water-efficient technologies. Automated sensors in faucets and showers help regulate water flow, ensuring minimal usage when not in direct use. Additionally, faucet aerators have been installed across the property, reducing water wastage without compromising on performance. These measures significantly lower water usage, contributing to both environmental preservation and operational efficiency.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Lighting up the future with sustainability. We're proud to participate in Qatar Sustainability Week by turning off the lights in our public areas for 60 minutes.

Qatar Islamic Bank is committed to optimizing its supply chain in an environmentally responsible manner. 

In this regard, QIB has partnered with DHL’s GoGreen Plus program, a key initiative aimed at reducing the carbon emissions associated with global logistics by leveraging the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) which has the potential to reduce aviation emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional jet fuels. 

In its ambition to create a fair and just society, where every individual has an equal and easy access to financial services, QIB has introduced the QIB Lite App.

The Lite App has been launched as part of QIB’s commitment to financial inclusion, fostering greater access to financial services for low-income workers. Recognizing the diverse and multicultural fabric of the community, the bank has introduced a simplified version of its flagship QIB Mobile app, available in multiple languages, offering the most popular services required by this segment of customers. 

As part of our commitment to sustainability, our engineering team demonstrated remarkable creativity and innovation by repurposing waste materials into functional and aesthetically pleasing items. This initiative not only showcased their technical skills but also reinforced our commitment to environmental sustainability.

Arab International Academy's Library Sustainability Corner is a dedicated space designed to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students and staff. This green oasis within the library serves as a hub for learning about eco-friendly initiatives, engaging in sustainable activities, and contributing to a greener future.

Alwadi Hotel Doha MGallery Collection is committed to contribute to a healthier planet. On the occasion of Qatar sustainability week, hotel's sustainability team organized an in depth training for all the employees to create awareness about suitability practices that are followed in the hotel i.e 

1) energy and water efficient measures in compliance with GAIA which measures the energy consumptions, green house gas emission and food waste.

Replacing plastic bags with eco-friendly paper bags to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainability. This simple change not only benefits the environment but also enhances the hotel’s eco-conscious image.
