Food Waste Recycling and composting

At Wa’hab, we provide complete food waste recycling solutions designed for businesses committed to sustainability. We offer end-to-end services — from collecting food waste using our dedicated transportation trucks to processing it at on-site facilities equipped with automated composting machines capable of handling up to 5 tonnes per day. The output from these machines is then cured and transformed into nutrient-rich compost, which is used to grow fresh produce and support landscaping needs — closing the loop and promoting a truly circular economy.

Tesla & BYD Electric Vehicles trial day / charging point inauguration

As a part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2025, Baladna is organizing a series of initiatives to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness among our employees. In line with Qatar’s vision for a greener future, we have invited BYD for an EV Display at our newly installed charging stations and trial opportunity for our staff at our premises.

The purpose of the event is to provide our staff with an opportunity to experience electric vehicles firsthand, learn about the technology, and encourage a shift towards sustainable mobility.

Eco garden and community support

I have created an Eco garden in the school campus with support from Hadiqaa in relation to some resources and advice. We are also collaborating with Heenat Salwa farm with their allotment project that will then support our children teach younger students and their peers and develop a growing space with my support. We then want to make a connection with feed a friend to donate the fruit and vegetables we hopefully grow. And create a greener space throughout the school not just in the newly created garden space. We will work with hadiqaa for school visits and garden support.

Sustainable Lifestyle Bingo

To celebrate Qatar Sustainability Week 2025, our company is launching a week-long Sustainable Lifestyle Bingo Challenge designed to inspire eco-conscious habits among office staff. Each participant receives a digital bingo card filled with simple, impactful sustainability actions—ranging from reducing paper use and bringing reusable items to sharing green tips and learning about sustainable freight practices.

Clothing Donation

As part of Sustainability Week (November 1–8), Megamart is organizing a Clothing Donation Drive, encouraging employees to donate their gently used clothes in good condition. The collected items will be handed over to Qatar Charity for distribution to those in need. At Megamart, we believe that sustainability also means extending the life of resources and supporting our community through acts of kindness and generosity.
