The Center for Sustainable Development, College of Arts and Sciences at Qatar University in collaboration with the Department of Biological & Environmental Sciences and the M-NEX Project is organizing an International Sustainability Workshop - ISW 2021 on 26-27 October 2021.

Teacher Talal will deliver a workshop entitled “Education for Sustainable Development” to the department of Mathematic in the school. This workshop aims at enriching some of the mathematical problems by the sustainable development knowledge and issues. Climate Change, Food Security, Water Scarcity, and other important challenges can be reflected in Math lessons with an awesome level of creativity.

World Investor Week, initiated by the International Organisation for Securities Commission (IOSCO), and Qatar Sustainability Week 2022, initiated by Earthna (established under the Qatar Foundation (QF)), seek to raise awareness about sustainability, including sustainable finance. This session explores the growing trend of “green financing.” What is it, what qualities enable a financial product to be labeled “green” and what norms establish the qualities?

Throughout Facility Management, there are many processes & activities which are not well in line with the sustainability aspect, which is converted to be a real need for the coming generation's future

With this panel discussion, we are going to highlight the dark corners spread around from the design stage till the operation, and negotiate the solutions to make the Facility Management greener, and keep the facilities last longer with the surrounding environment and generation-friendly

The Qatar Financial Center (QFC) Regulatory Authority will provide a presentation at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar on the theme of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). The presentation aims to address several relevant topics including sustainable taxonomy, climate related risks, financial stability risks in sustainable finance as well as ESG investing.

The presentation is organized in collaboration with the CMU-Q EcoCampus program.

QFCRA Collaboration with the College of Public Policy and Law on Sustainable Finance through a roundtable discussion with students. Panelists will be from the Qatar Financial Regulatory Authority, HBKU College of Public policy and law, College of Islamic Studies, and the Global Green Growth Institute.
