Among its sustainability initiatives, Rayyan Water collects rejected plastic and recycles it in different plastic productions, repurposing 1,100 tons of plastic per year!

UDC is dedicated to combating sea pollution and safeguarding marine species in The Pearl Island. Our Seabed Cleanup initiative represents a substantial stride forward in our continuous endeavors to uphold the environmental health of our marine ecosystems.

As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2023, UDC is teaming up with Hamad Medical Corporation to organize a blood donation drive for both employees and residents. This initiative will take place at two convenient locations, providing an opportunity for our community to come together and make a life-saving impact. Your participation will not only contribute to the well-being of others but also align with our shared commitment to sustainability and community welfare.

As part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2023, UDC is introducing a new policy for restaurants in The Pearl Island. We are taking a step towards sustainability by prohibiting the use of plastic and single-use plastics in these establishments. This initiative underscores our commitment to environmental responsibility and aims to create a more eco-friendly dining experience in The Pearl Island.

At UDC, safeguarding marine species at Pearl Island is paramount. Our dedication to preventing sea pollution drives us to expand our 'Seabin' initiative, introducing 10 more Collec'Thor Sea Cleaners. Excitingly, the upcoming launch of this project's new phase is scheduled during Qatar Sustainability Week 2023. Stay tuned for the positive impact this endeavor will have on our oceans and environment. 

As part of their community outreach, CCI France Qatar and its French member companies will replant mangroves and conduct a cleanup to raise awareness.

The PwC will be inaugurating our electronics recycling initiative, which will be launched in conjunction with an awareness raising session.
