During the Qatar Sustainability Week our people in Qatar will participate in a ''Minimize your waste competition'' and we invite you to join and compete with us! What does this mean? This means that from the 31st of October to the 7th of November our staff in Qatar will pledge to keep and separate all the waste that they have generated that week. At the end of the week your personal waste will be measured (in kg) and recorded. The person with the least waste generated wins. It's as simple as that and anyone can participate!

Outcome of this workshop: providing awareness on sustainable living to make small

changes in our daily life to reduce plastic use. The Idea and concept behind this workshop,

is to use a simple organic jute bag, making it into a piece of art by painting on it.

Which can be used for travelling, shopping or picnic etc. Just to avoid plastic bags!

Doha Festival City is very invested in the Sustainability Week with the objective to raise awareness about sustainability issues, which will involve 3 tiers; Management & Staff program, encouraging mall tenants to participate and a public online video (Festival Fashion TV) dedicated on the topic.

In order to reduce energy consumption and also encourage some exercise, we will be putting a halt to the use of elevators for staff and guests within the hotel on 1st November 2020

Turning wealth out of waste is such an important part of understanding the concept of sustainability.

We will be teaching our staff members at the hotel how to create decorative cloth bags out of waste material which they can substitute for plastic bags during the process of shopping for groceries.

This workshop will be taking place on 2nd November 2020 from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM respectively and will be conducted by renowned artist Ms. Amber Rauf.

Al Farkeeh Beach Clean up campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in Qatar Sustainability Week to raise the awareness of the concept of sustainability and environment conservation.
