Awareness Activities

WWRC will organize an awareness event for Breast Cancer at the hospital lobby and the educators will be presented to answer public inquiries and to distribute the educational materials.

We will discuss all possibilities to go green and save our planet. This is a open form to discuss various options to create awareness on climate change and sustainable development.

This initiative comes under a wider and ambitious environmental drive Al Meera has been spearheading the country, guided by the Qatar National Vision 2030’s four pillars of economic, human, social and environment development, as it expands its footprint across Qatari territory structure.

Earth Lanka in Collaboration with MCAQ Club (My Climate Action Qatar) will organise a facebook chat to discuss SDG 13 on Climate Action.

Marafeq Qatar employees will get a chance to hear from volunteers of the group “Make a Better Place” about the negative impact that single-use plastic has on the environment.

Marafeq Qatar employees will be able to immediately take a step to protect Qatar’s environment by signing on ongoing petition calling for supermarkets in Qatar to stop distributing plastic bags and to provide reusable sustainable alternatives instead.

Bedaya Center team will collect papers for recycling and it will be sent to Elite Paper Recycling

Engineers Australia Qatar Chapter together with Qatar Green Building Council and IKEA Store are hosting a 'Straw Building Competition' on Saturday 2 November 2019.

It is a pallet recycling activity open to the public where excess pallets are converted into useable furniture such as dining sets, benches, shelves, shoe racks, etc. Tools and equipment are provided by AAB. Experienced and skilled AAB Green Team members will be on the ground to assist the participants.  Participants may come with own design for what they intend to build which they can bring home with them after the event.
