Awareness Activities

This week at MAvX Design Plus, we're proud to support Qatar Sustainability Week, we take initiative to promoting sustainability and inspiring change within our community. Throughout the week, we’ll engage in various activities that raise awareness about environmental responsibility. As part of our efforts, we are eliminating plastic cups and all harmful materials, and will significantly reduce paper printing. Our goal is to reduce our environmental footprint and encourage long-term sustainable practices. We’re excited to take these steps now and continue this commitment into the future.

ينظم المركز القطري الثقافي للصم ورشة عمل بعنوان "أسبوع قطر للاستدامة"، وذلك في إطار تعزيز الوعي بأهمية الاستدامة والحفاظ على البيئة. تهدف الورشة إلى تقديم معلومات وتوجيهات حول كيفية تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في المجتمع، مع التركيز على دور الأفراد في دعم الجهود الوطنية لتحقيق رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030. تشمل الورشة مجموعة من الأنشطة التفاعلية والمحاضرات التي تتناول موضوعات مثل تقليل النفايات، الحفاظ على الموارد الطبيعية، وتشجيع السلوكيات المستدامة.

Raffles Doha is committed to implementing Food Waste Management Programs using advanced AI technologies aimed at monitoring and reducing waste across the hotel and its restaurants, while prioritizing environmental preservation and community management. 

Raffles Doha is committed to regularly measuring and monitoring energy consumption and carbon footprint, reducing them through initiatives such as lighting control systems, energy-efficient HVAC, and conscious individual actions.

On August 18, 2024, our hotel was honored to host a blood donation drive in collaboration with the Qatar National Blood Donation Center at Hamad Medical Corporation. 

The event aimed to raise awareness among our staff about the vital importance of blood donation in saving lives and supporting our community.

This initiative highlighted our dedication to social responsibility and offered a meaningful opportunity for our team to make a difference for those in urgent need of blood transfusions.

Training with Ecolab on the safe & efficient way of using chemicals used in Laundry. Will focus on Staff awareness, chemical consumption, water & energy saving tips etc.

Shut down the public area lights for 60 minuets on the 01st of October 2024 from 08:00 till 09:00 pm
