Sustainability Art Competition : "Art Speaks for the Planet"

Art becomes the universal language through which sustainability is expressed, inspiring action and emotion beyond words. Show us how your creativity can make a positive impact!

Visit to Qatar University Young Scientist Center - STEM for Sustainability

Students will visit the Qatar University Young Scientists Center to explore STEM for a Sustainable Future, where they will be introduced to cutting-edge scientific research and innovation. Through interactive workshops and hands-on experiments, students will engage in creative problem-solving and critical thinking while discovering how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics contribute to building a more sustainable world. This experience encourages curiosity, collaboration, and a deeper appreciation for the role of STEM in addressing global challenges.

STEM for Sustainability

Hamad Bin Khalifa University: Cooling Systems in Qatar : The HBKU STEM labs visit will immerse students in hands-on experiments, including exploring heat transfer with melting ice, testing evaporative cooling, building mini swamp coolers, using IR thermometers to study pressurized systems, and employing FLIR cameras to detect temperature changes and convection currents, ultimately leading to a practical understanding of how refrigerators work.

Visit to M7 Msheireb - STEM for Sustainability

Students will visit M7 Msheireb, Qatar’s hub for creativity and innovation, to explore the intersections of design, fashion, and technology. Through the Plasticpreneur experience, they will engage in interactive workshops and exhibitions that emphasize sustainability, cultural heritage, and modern craftsmanship. Students will gain insight into how creative industries are reimagining materials—such as plastic waste—into meaningful and sustainable design solutions that reflect both innovation and environmental responsibility.

Fabric Upcycling Workshop- STEM for Sustainability

Students will visit Green Island to participate in a Fabric Upcycling Workshop and gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainability in practice. During the tour, they will explore innovative approaches to environmental conservation through sessions on construction upcycling, solar energy, and hydroponic farming. Students will also visit the recycling zone to observe real-world waste management and resource recovery processes, deepening their awareness of how sustainable practices can be integrated into everyday life.

No Printing Day

As part of our environmental sustainability efforts, talabat Qatar employees across the office will participate in a “No Printing Day,” promoting a fully paperless work environment. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about reducing paper consumption and encourage the adoption of digital tools for more sustainable office practices.

 

Car-Free Day Awareness Activity – Mandarin Oriental x Qatar Academy x ReQ

Mandarin Oriental Doha will host a Car-Free Day awareness event in collaboration with ReQ and Qatar Academy on 26 November 2025. The activity will combine sustainability learning and creative participation, encouraging staff, students, and guests to reflect on responsible mobility and environmental care.
Through simple awareness touchpoints and interactive moments developed by ReQ, the event highlights how hospitality and education can work together to support Qatar’s vision for a cleaner and greener future.

Plastic Reduction and Segregation Awareness

Our company is participating in Qatar Sustainability Week by reducing and eliminating single-use plastic consumption throughout the week while promoting sustainable alternatives to plastic materials. Additionally, we are conducting a Waste Segregation Awareness session to provide comprehensive guidance on proper waste separation techniques and appropriate disposal methods for recyclable materials.
