On August 18, 2024, our hotel was honored to host a blood donation drive in collaboration with the Qatar National Blood Donation Center at Hamad Medical Corporation. 

The event aimed to raise awareness among our staff about the vital importance of blood donation in saving lives and supporting our community.

This initiative highlighted our dedication to social responsibility and offered a meaningful opportunity for our team to make a difference for those in urgent need of blood transfusions.

Raffles Doha is committed to complete elimination of plastic usage throughout the daily activities of the guests opting for sustainable alternatives by implementing various measures to avoid single-use plastics. 

Training with Ecolab on the safe & efficient way of using chemicals used in Laundry. Will focus on Staff awareness, chemical consumption, water & energy saving tips etc.

Shut down the public area lights for 60 minuets on the 01st of October 2024 from 08:00 till 09:00 pm

Activity Name: "Be the Eco-Hero!"

An engagement workshop dive through sustainability concept and Qatar profile focusing on strategic water infrastructure. Interactive  discussion on vulnerabilities and resilience of water infrastructure. 

Sustainability project in one of  the metro stations.

First,  setting up a small event in a cafe inside the metro. We  decorate the space with plants and other nature-themed stuff to create a cosy and inviting atmosphere.

Then, having some interactive activities to engage people passing by. 

Environmental Awareness- creating awareness about environmental. Creating landscaping children competition, Environmental quizzes, environmental art drawing & paintings.

Sustainability - Paint nature pictures, Make cardboard insects & birds, eco-friendly zoo with egg carton, Make a rag rug ( sewing rugs to useful bags).

Modern agriculture- Planting competition and agricultural art leg - painting planting pots. Turn your plastic  bottle to flower pot.

The Ministry of Municipality will be hosting a booth to raise awareness for recycling during Qatar Sustainability Week and hosting Kids activities to raise awareness on Sustainability.

The booth will be located in Center Court - 1st Floor, opposite to Cup of Joe.

Al Meera will be launching sustainability driven social media competitions, offering engaging content and exciting giveaways. The competition aims at encouraging participants to share their insights and experiences related to sustainability
