Water Conservation

This initiative enables the QFC to successfully focus on reducing water usage in order to become more environmentally conscious and water smart within the workplace. As such, rainwater is stored in reserved tanks for use in cleaning the parking area, minimum housekeeping consumables are prioritized, and hand dryers are installed in lavatories to encourage a reduction in tissue paper usage. Water aerator have also been introduced in washbasin faucet to help reduce the flow and wastage of water, and less water is used for cleaning cars and the building façade.

Go Green, Live Clean with QFC

This environmentally friendly initiative enables the QFC to raise awareness of recycling best practices within its community. For example, a waste management initiative was developed to focus on increasing employee and visitor awareness through the introduction of office segregated bins for different types of waste, along with separate recycling cages for paper and cardboard waste.

Carpooling!

The Ginger Camel team is carpooling every day, we have 2 cars picking up the team every morning and take us back home every afternoon.

Instead of all of us is driving a car, we save the environment a bit by doing this.

Eco and Vegetable Gardens

Creating an eco (ecological) garden is a major step in helping the environment and in reducing the environmental footprint. We will be using organic methods of amending the soil and controlling pests and weeds. Native plant species will be used to make an earth-friendly garden.

"Clean Your Desk Paper Recycling Program"

This awareness campaign would be focused on giving an opportunity for office employees/ school students to clean their desks/class rooms and help the environment by removing unnecessary papers and documents and then submitting these to the HSSE booth located at the student center.

Participants would be given information on the benefits of recycling, also sharing information such as: how many trees are used to produce paper, how many trees are saved when we recycle, also tips on paper conservation would be given. This will be an interactive session.
