Office Goes Green

  • Office Goes Green is a global program designed by Holcim , Readymix Qatar management partner to make offices more sustainable and raise internal awareness of everyday environmental habits by:
    • Using resources and energy more responsibly in offices (Switch Off electrical equipment if not required)
    • Reducing waste and plastic (Identify and list Internal Processes that require you to print/use papers and can be moved to digital)
    • Helping employees adopt greener habits (Installing Hand Driver to reduce paper usage)

Social media initiative for Embassy staff to engage community

Social media posts and office activities include:

  • Swedish sustainable companies and or fun-facts daily posts on social media platform during the week.
  • Staff bringing home-cooked meals and vegetarian meals.
  • Staff walking to/from work instead of car rides.
  • Post tips on social media about how to be more climate-friend in everyday life (eg. reusable bottles/mugs, vegetarian recipes).

Project for water filtration using electromagnetic sensing technology

The Al-Ahnaf Bin Qais School has developed a project for water filtration using electromagnetic sensing technology. The goal of this project is to purify water using advanced technology that relies on detecting impurities and contaminants through electromagnetic sensing.

The project includes training sessions for students on how to design and implement electromagnetic filtration systems, enhancing their skills in science and technology and contributing to the provision of clean and drinkable water. 

Seabed Cleanup

United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands, planning s seabed cleaning campaign of Qanat Quartier on The Pearl Island. Eco awareness.me

As we are going to a world where climate change will get more and more dangerous, our team, consisting of three high school students, has developed a project called "Eco Awareness." The primary goal of our project is to raise public awareness about the effects of climate change. We aim to achieve this through social media campaigns as well as in-person interactions. Additionally, we utilize daily school assemblies to deliver talks on the dangers of climate change, leveraging this platform to reach our peers effectively.

Paperless week

As part of the support to green , we are practicing the reduction of paper waste, hence contribute to green enviroment. We all know the paper waste in any organizations are more and we are trying to be digital in this aspect and print only if required.
