Sustainability is one of the main pillars of theQatar vision 2030, hence it's an integral part of the country's development andit's a national duty for all Qatari organizations, institutes and companies tothrust its forces towards achieving the national vision, therefore Petrolecnica Environmental Services (PES) proposes as a sustainability initiative and in corporationwith other companies in Amwal tower, to start a permanent sustainableinitiative to increase people awarenessand cultivate a culture regarding waste problems in Qatar, waste reduction,reusing, recycling, company waste management and personal waste management fora more sustainable work environment. PES will educate employees how tosegregate and dispose their office waste and minimize its impact onthe environment. This initiative aims to encourage the real estate and the business sectors to be more sustainable and aware of the environment.
The forms of implementing the initiative:
- Freeof charge workshops about sustainable companies and sustainable management.
- Freeof charge seminars for environmental and sustainability, roles andresponsibilities.
- Provide6 types of segregation bins for each floor in the tower to collect recyclablematerial such as:
- Paper
- Metal
- Plastic
- E-waste (such as batteries, calculators, etc)
- Glass
- Food waste
- Spreadawareness via posters, flyers inducing sustainable behavior andenvironmental responsibility.
The Initiative campaign will be titled as " OurCountry is our Responsibility" in Arabic " ديرتنا،مسئوليتنا" , will start with PES office on the 1st of November 2017, and will be spread all over the companies of Amwal tower.
