The Qur’anic Botanic Garden “QBG”, Member of Qatar Foundation organizes the "Environmental Research Contest” for the third academic year 2018-2019 in collaboration with the Scientific Research Skills Section of the Curriculum & Learning Resources Department, Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) within the National Environmental Research Contest in Qatar.

The ERC Contest is one of the QBG Educational Programs aiming to build and qualify a new generation of students capable of preserving plants and environment in order to achieve sustainable development and enhance the students' responsibility towards the environment by providing innovative and practical solutions to the contemporary environmental problems through studying the causes of these problems in proper scientific research method to conclude practical solutions that can be implemented in reality.

The QBG started preparations by inviting over 35 schools  to the Students’ Open Discussion Day in order to share with the Scientific Research faculty and students the Contest action plan, the anticipated objectives, the potential research points and to answer all their queries on Thursday, September 27, 2018 morning at the Education City Student Center. Now, the QBG applying the research points with students at the QBG labs and nurseries in addition the cooperation with various research institutes in the State of Qatar.
