Carrefour Qatar has achieved a remarkable CO2 reduction, saving an impressive 9,000 tons of CO2 emissions. This outstanding accomplishment is primarily attributed to our unwavering commitment to various initiatives, including the Electricity & Waste Segregation Project, recycling efforts, the installation of light motion sensors in store warehouses and offices, the adoption of double glazing door insulation for refrigeration cabinets, the incorporation of VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) technology for refrigeration, UPS, and chillers, and the upgrade to the latest energy-saving technology by replacing DCC chillers. These milestones not only underscore our dedication to sustainability but also provide a strong foundation for us to continue our journey toward achieving our target for 2024.
