I hold a master’s degree and a Higher Diploma in Biotechnology – Environmental Applications from the Gulf Arab University (2003), as well as a Bachelor's degree in General Chemistry from Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (1998).
I began my career as an Environmental Specialist from 2007-2015, and in 2016, I advanced to Senior Environmental Specialist at the Supreme Council for Environment. Since 2017, I have supervised biodiversity and marine project monitoring. In 2023, I became the Director of Protected Areas at the Supreme Council for Environment.
I serve as the National Focal Point for Bahrain on several international and regional agreements, including the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, Ramsar Convention, and the Gulf Cooperation Council’s Convention on Wildlife Conservation.
I am an active member of various national, regional, and international committees, including the Equal Opportunities Committee and the Arab Group on the Convention to Combat Desertification. Additionally, I have managed and coordinated key national projects such as national biodiversity reports, the Pearl Habitat Survey, mangrove restoration, and marine environmental monitoring.
I have represented Bahrain at numerous international and regional conferences and participated in various workshops related to my field.
