Shams Generation is an innovative hands-on educational initiative, developed by Qatar Solar Technologies (QSTec) in collaboration with Qatar Museums. This interactive learning program draws upon students' various skill sets to create innovative solar artwork combining solar energy, electronics, recycled material and art. 

This initiative aims to educate the nation’s younger generation about the use of solar energy and the importance of environmental sustainability through an interdisciplinary approach to education combining science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. 

Students of all ages from participating academic institutions produce sustainability inspired artwork– ranging from children at primary schools to university students.
