La Journée verte

The French Qatarian School Voltaire will be experiencing a green way of life the 17th of November during the event "la journée verte" (green day), with exhibitions of passive houses modells, recycled art, games and activities organized by the students and their teachers around recycling practices and environment care.

Evolution Sports Qatar Sustainability Week

All of our normal sessions will be built around sustainability week. At the beginning of each session our staff will educate participants on the benefits of exercise and living a healthy lifestyle through fun games, drills and activities. Photos and videos will be taken and uploaded to our social media channels using the hashtags provided. We will be interacting with approx 5,000 members throughout the week and reaching 20,000 or more on social media.

Clean Marine Sea Bin Project

The Clean Marine Project was developed out of the need to keep our Stand UP Paddle and Kayak school based on the Pearl-Qatar clean of floating debris in the water, what followed was a sea bin development which is now onto the 3rd prototype that has been running at gate 22/23 of Porto Arabia for the last 6 months. The results of this Clean Marine Sea Bin have had a huge impact on the quality of the water, this system has been running for the last 6 months with no down time. Currently Blue Pearl is offering sponsorship opportunities to move this project forward to the second phase.

Trip to Mesheireb

In an attempt to familiarize students with recent developments taking place in Qatar within the realm of sustainable and smart cities, a field trip will be organized for students from Qatar University to visit Mesheireb as part of their "Urban Sustainability" class within the program of Policy, Planning, and Development within the International Affairs Department.

Sherborne Qatar Green Day

Sherborne Qatar are partnering with Ezdan Mall Management and Carillion Qatar LLC to educate pupils and create awareness within the community on sustainability issues. Various educational trips tackling these issues have been arranged throughout the week with some keynote speakers presenting to pupils during assemblies on the global issues touching on Qatar's 2030 vision. The week will finish in a flurry with Green Day celebrations taking place on the 17th November.
