The Tree Plantation in Crowne Village is an environmental initiative where employees of Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Doha - The Business Park plant trees around their residence. It promotes environmental awareness, teamwork, and a greener living space while encouraging staff to actively participate in tree care and maintenance. This initiative fosters sustainability and enhances the quality of life for the employees.
The Community Garden behind Argulina is a sustainability initiative for employees at Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Doha - The Business Park, encouraging them to grow their own herbs. This garden promotes teamwork, healthy living, and environmental awareness by allowing staff to actively participate in gardening and learn about sustainable agriculture. It also enhances the green spaces around the employee residence, creating a more eco-friendly environment
The head science teacher will lead this initiative with her students in order to plan trees at Al Waab branch of Lycee Voltaire and protect our environment as well as raising awareness of the importance of taking care of our community and environment.
This closed workshop will focus on the integration of sustainability throughout the MPSO project's development. The workshop will explore key sustainability aspects, including energy efficiency, water management, climate resilience, and environmental impact mitigation, highlighting Mott MacDonald's commitment to sustainable engineering. The event will emphasize how our Project align with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and contribute to long-term environmental and operational sustainability.
Business Park Sustainability Photo Exhibition, Cake Cutting, Green Menu Lunch
To celebrate Qatar's Sustainability Week, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Doha - The Business Park hosted a photo exhibition showcasing their sustainability efforts. A cake-cutting ceremony recognized eco-friendly initiatives, followed by a Green Menu Lunch featuring sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. The event highlighted the hotels' commitment to environmental responsibility.
Since 2023, Microsoft Qatar has significantly reduced its CO2 emissions by 580 Kg and recycled 3200 Kg of paper. This remarkable achievement results from our strong commitment to various sustainability initiatives within the workplace.
Employees are encouraged to adopt sustainable practices such as waste segregation, recycling, installing light motion sensors in work areas, carpooling monthly, participating in Meatless Mondays, and using reusable water bottles.

Shake Shack has been making efforts to become more environmentally conscious and a "Plastic free-challenge" could involve initiative to educate the team and train all employees on the new plastic free protocols and the importance of environmental sustainability. Encourage the team to use eco-friendly alternatives like wooden utensils, compostable takeout containers or paper plant based packaging and to bring their own cup. We continuously improved based on what best for our store and customer base.
