Donation Drive

Engaging a team of 40 dedicated staff members,

MSC Qatar is excited to announce the launch of a Donation Drive during Qatar Sustainability Week 2026. This initiative encourages all employees to contribute their gently used items: furniture, electric devices, garments....etc.

By extending the life cycle and fostering a culture of giving, we aim to make a positive impact on both the environment and the lives of those in need.

Electronic waste recycling

We will establish a company-wide program to collect electronic waste for recycling, making it easy for employees to dispose of old devices responsibly. Designated collection points will be available for items such as laptops, phones, chargers, batteries, cables, monitors, and other outdated equipment so they can be gathered safely instead of being thrown away with regular trash.

Paper less meeting initiative

We will introduce paperless meeting days to encourage teams to use online apps, shared documents, and digital note-taking tools instead of printing paper for meetings. By relying on technology for agendas, notes, and presentations, employees can collaborate more efficiently while reducing unnecessary paper use.

Sustainability Showcase Day – Celebration of Learning

The week will conclude with a “Sustainability Showcase Day”, where children will proudly present their learning to parents and visitors. Displays will include:

Recycled art projects

Plant-growing activities

Environmental posters

Classroom sustainability work

This event will celebrate student voice, creativity, and environmental responsibility while encouraging community engagement.

Home–School Partnership – Green at Home Challenge

Families will be actively involved through the “Green at Home Challenge.” Parents and children will complete simple sustainability tasks at home, such as:

Creating recycling stations

Reducing single-use plastic

Practicing water and electricity conservation

Spending screen-free time in nature

Parents will document participation through photos or videos shared on ClassDojo, strengthening the link between school learning and home practices.

Awareness & Learning Activities – Save Our Planet Corner

Each classroom will set up a “Save Our Planet Awareness Corner” featuring visual displays, books, and interactive resources. Throughout the week, children will engage in storytelling sessions, short educational videos, group discussions, and hands-on learning tasks focused on recycling, water conservation, energy saving, and protecting animals and nature.

Students will create posters with key environmental messages such as:

“Save Water”

“Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”

“Love Our Earth”

Nutrition & Wellness – Healthy Planet, Healthy Me

Children will explore the connection between personal health and environmental care through the “Healthy Planet, Healthy Me” activity. They will discuss and identify healthy food choices such as fruits and vegetables, create simple eco-friendly lunchbox ideas, and learn how reducing food waste contributes to a healthier planet. Teachers will also encourage mindful eating habits during snack time.
