Glass Decoupage Workshop

Recycling glass material to create art. Decoupage is the perfect craft to use old empty glass bottles, jars, plates and scraps of pretty papers to create a unique beautiful decorative art. This workshop will give awareness and encourage participants to upcycle found objects to create art. Also educating how to live a sustainable life by using eco friendly products/materials in out daily life for a healthy green environment for the future.

Artistic Fashion Show with Noor Bchara at the Qatar International Art Festival

New York-based fashion designer Noor Bchara shares her NOORISM line at the Qatar International Art Festival’s Artistic Fashion Show. Noor Bchara founded NOORISM in 2015 after being disheartened by the volume of poorly-made, practically disposable clothes produced by the Fashion industry every year. NOORISM is a Brooklyn based women’s wear brand that produces clothing and accessories using repurposed jeans, all made in New York.

Stall for displaying wood decor or workshop for kids

I make woodsigns out of reclaimed wood pallets , and cutting different shapes of wood in animal for kids to paint . We reuse Pallets previosly used for shipping and instead of them ending in the waste, I convert it into beautiful Woodsign for home decor .

Razeena Abdurahman is a Doha based textile artist with a focus on creating sustainable art with fabrics, employing various techniques like appliqué, free motion sewing and hand painting.

All artworks have been created using fabric wastage generated by local small scale textile and tailoring businesses.

Swapna being extremely passionate to contribute for a greener planet, upcycles found plastics to create sculptural artworks. Nature being her favorite subject, this self-taught artist try to embrace the beauty of textures and patterns around her and create a  visual treat in her works using reclaimed plastics. Giving freedom to the colors, she intuitively work with fluid oils, acrylics and glass paints, in bright and bold colors giving a warm and vibrant aura for all her artworks. .
