This year we will be focusing on cleaning up the unusual litter and debris found on the beaches of Qatar like broken glass, bottle caps, cigarette butts etc.

We will be involving our younger generation from different schools to emphasize waste segregation and proper waste disposal by educating them on the harmful effects of smoking and littering on the beaches.

Founded in 2017, Wa’hab is a business start-up in Qatar that aims to reduce food wastage, currently being incubated under QBIC.

The hotel will share with the guests information about the green aspects of the hotel at the front office desk.

Hello everyone! As part of the sustainability week activities organized by the QGBC The Embassy of France and the French Institute Qatar, Doha Environmental Actions Project (DEAP), Project Rescue Ocean Qatar and Doha Accueil are joining forces and invite the general public to participate on our "Al Zubara Fort visit and beach cleanup". This is a kid and family friendly event. 

In Found Objects & Creativity Exhibition Essa Al Mulla showcases a variety of unique images for artworks representing Qatar using recycled materials. Essa utilizes environmental waste to create innovative artwork about Qatar folk art, music, toys, along with the folkloric costumes and various aspects of the local environment.

The artists’ proposal for the Qatar Sustainability week is as follows:

It is a collaboration project between the Artist, Titika Stamouli and the Fashion Designer, Forough Piroozi.

They will create a collection of 5 fashion design pieces using recycled clothes and fabric scraps.

There will be an extravagant more artistic centerpiece. A dress covering the largest space of the exhibition. And the rest of the designs will be for everyday wear, woman clothing.

The presentation of the pieces will be creative turning the exhibition space into an installation.
