Initiatives

BoConcept advocates for sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions and strives to minimize negative impacts on the environment in various ways; including initiatives in the showrooms, such as reusing and recycling all papers and packages to reduce waste.

At "Adore Again," Qatar’s premier circular thrift store, we are excited to propose our Jeans Giveaway Initiative, designed to foster sustainability and introduce the thrifting culture in Qatar. As pioneers in the circular economy, our mission is to demonstrate how fashion can be both trendy and environmentally friendly.

-Switching off lights for one hour from 8am to 9am during sustainability week.
- Increasing the AC temperature by one degree, in order to contribute towards reduced carbon footprint.

-Highlighting the importance of avoiding one time use plastic and the importance of reduce, reuse and recycle to students.
- Donate used books to relevant charity organizations.

1. Provided all employees personalised reusable water bottles and set up refilling stations to reduce usage of plastic water bottles.
2. Provided reusable tableware in the pantries for employees to use instead of disposables.
3. Encouraged employees to use the metro for their commute to work, and to carpool for external events.
4. Donated cubicles, office furniture, and IT equipment from the old building to Qatar Charity’s Tayf programme.

1. The QFCRA regularly recycles paper waste and yearly asks employees to donate old batteries for recycling.
2. We ensure responsible disposal of electronic waste by selecting vendors that effectively repurpose or recycle obsolete IT materials.

1. This year, the QFCRA selected suppliers who use recyclable materials for our branded merchandise.
2. The QFCRA, since 2020, has digitised all printed collaterals. 

Book Swap:

Employees will be encouraged to participate in a book exchange event, promoting the sharing of knowledge and resources within the company.

Clothes Donation Drive:

A collection drive will be held for gently used clothing items, which will be donated to local charities. This initiative not only supports those in need but also aligns with our values of reducing waste and promoting reuse.

To further promote sustainable practices among our employees, we will distribute eco-friendly merchandise during Sustainability Week. These giveaways will serve as both a gesture of appreciation and a reminder of our commitment to environmental responsibility.
