"We are celebrating Qatar Sustainability week.

We would like to recommend you to watch A Life on our Planet documentary and encourage people around you to watch it too. The film is about our impact on earth and how we can make our lifestyle more sustainable.

Students will be encouraged to grow vegetables at home as the school has not opened fully yet.

This Wednesday and Thursday, we will be learning about sustainability to help spread awareness and celebrate Qatar’s 2020 Sustainability Week. Our aim will be to bring an awareness of the planet and its resources and the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. As such, we will discuss ways to help create a more sustainable world and school. 

To make this day even more special, we are asking children:

• to wear green on Wednesday and Thursday of this week
• to register a personal pledge to help conserve our world's energy and resources.

Galfar is scheduling a week along campaign on creating awareness on environment/sustainability to all our employees, through various training sessions and small group exercise at project sites.

During the Qatar Sustainability Week, the company’s team will stop using plastic bottles of water, instead they will use glass cups, minimize using paper, minimizing electricity waste. This initiative goal is to increase the awareness of community about saving the environment and encourage the sense of responsibility toward the community and state of Qatar.
