Here at Phoenix Private School we are promoting GO GREEN DAY. We are encoring our students on the 30th October to GO GREEN by wearing GREEN and also by having sustainable lunch boxes through the reuse of recyclable or reusable materials
For this we encourage you to provide on this day.:
1. recyclable water bottle – no plastic bottles (the bottles you can wash and reuse)
2. A lunch box that is reusable (no throw away containers or plastic non-recyclable)
3. Food should be meat free and free from plastic wrappings – using only reusable plastic or paper. To contain the food in.
ONLY Bring as much as you can eat; Don’t over fill your lunch boxes, DON’T WASTE FOOD, Did you know that globally, people waste about $1 trillion of food each year, with a total economic impact of about $3 trillion each year if you consider the environmental and social costs of things like deforestation, soil erosion, increased greenhouse gases, water scarcity, exposure to chemicals and reduced profits for farmers.
