Earth Lanka is an online media network started in 2009 with a group of passionatejournalists from 15 different countries Our Headquarters is located in Colombo, SriLanka and the regional office for Middle East is established in Doha, Qatar.
We also work in Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, China, Italy, Sweden, Kingdomof Saudi Arabia, United States of America, New Zealand, Kenya and Nigeria.
The web site was basically running on news about sustainable development, scientific research, environment, health and disaster management topics. Today Earth Lanka web site functions as a news portal on science and environment in Sri Lanka and the web site is registered under News Web Media Act introduced by Ministry of Media &Information in Sri Lanka. It is also the only news casting portal on science and environment in Sri Lanka, today the news team is comprised of 20 journalist’s news correspondents around the world.
Earth Lanka Qatar operates as the regional office for our Middle East region that was established and accredited as a foreign media by the Qatar News Agency in the year2014. Redefining the news reporting on climate change and Sustainable developmentin the Middle East region with authentic and realtime news in the region and State ofQatar.
As a media organisation in the State of Qatar and the world. We are in the phase ofcreating awareness on climate change, as we see there is need for awareness creationamong the Young generation in Qatar in the field of Climate change. We are planningto Initiate Photography Competition known as “My Climate Action”. Young people cansend in images for a photo competition designed to raise awareness about climatechange and the winners are invited by the organiser to giveaway a gift and acertificate.

Authors of the 10 best photos will receive certificates by the organisers of the contest.
