In this first session, we will focus on sensory development and in kids in the spectrum of autism.
Hadiqaa gives them an opportunity to explore their senses (sight, touch, taste, and sound ) in a safe and stimulating environment. Gardening helps children to develop and recognize themselves without even realizing it. They can feel the texture of soil, seeds, flowers, and petals. They get to smell all the amazing flower scents and see all the colorful petals. It also helps develop hand-eye coordination and builds physical strength. Gardening is quite physical and requires the body to work hard digging, carrying, lifting, sieving, watering, etc.
As children garden, they develop important motor skills that will help them improve their senses and enhance creativity, increase social skills and improve self-confidence.
Gardening also reduces stress and helps children cope with anxiety and frustration.
NB : If we have a child who doesn’t like gardening, we can teach them to use it for nature-connection and relaxation strategies. So, whenever they need support, they will consider plants as their best friends!
Register your kids to our fun gardening sessions starting Tuesday 11th of October and let them explore the nature surrounding them and improve their skills and behaviors with a special program.
Addressed to kids aged 4-12 years.
Activities: Basic gardening, mixing soil and repotting, watering and spraying and can include a small craft like painting.
