The following initiatives were done in line with sustainability week in Qatar

1. Tree planting campaign

A tree planting campaign was designed to celebrate the anniversary by planting 40 trees in Qatar at elite places

The campaign is supported by “Earthna” and will be a part million tree campaign by the department of public parks

1. No printing week

During sustainability week there will be zero printing in the city office of SriLankan airlines Qatar

We have already migrated to e-tickets only many years back

1. Reduction of commuting of passengers to the office

We have enabled online payment options with Dibsy ( a local fintech company) which the passengers can pay online without coming to the office

We encourage to communicate thru WhatsApp/telephone/email for all needs without coming to the office

1. The healthy work force in the office

We have checked the BMI/pressure and sugar levels  of all staff in the office on 8^th Oct 2022

Staff on the margin or above the recommended levels are encouraged to attend medication and fitness routines

Their BMI improvement is added as a KPI of their annual evaluation
