The constructionindustry is a major consumer of resources and has a large impact on thesustainability. BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing standard and certification schemehelp organisations manage and reduce the impacts throughout the supply chain.

The scheme providesmanufacturers with a means by which their constructional products can beindependently assessed and certified as being responsibly sourced. Thescheme is recognised by GSAS and BREEAM where credits can be awarded forconstruction materials independently certified through BES 6001.
