Be’atna is the new identity for The QFCRAs’ environmental initiatives going forward.

The QFCRA will be implementing goal 4 (c) of the Second Strategic Plan for Financial Sector Regulation (2017-2022), which “encourages regulators to adopt principles and practices that ensure sustainability in their operation”. QFCRA wants to meet this goal, while also strengthening our contribution to the Qatar National Vision 2030, which promotes and encourages the mitigation of negative environmental effects that are taking place. MubadaRAh and Be’atna share these goals and objectives.

The action under Be’atna is to reduce use of paper at the QFCRA. In the last year, the number of pages printed saw a rise by almost 17%. The time has come to change our printing habits, especially with the current state of the environment.

Tips to keep in mind:

1. Avoid printing documents unnecessarily.

2. If you have a laptop, take it to your meetings, instead of print-outs.

3. Digitise documents and work off electronic versions – It’s much more efficient.

4. Recycle any paper.
