Reem Ghanem Al Sulaiti is a pioneer in Qatar’s sustainable fashion scene, blending her love for fashion with a commitment to environmental care.
With a bachelor’s from Ahlia University, an EMBA from the New York Institute of Technology and further studies in Marketing at HEC Paris in Qatar, Reem has dedicated herself to changing the region’s fashion landscape.
Her journey toward sustainability started in 2012 with the founding of Abbati, an abaya atelier where she first noticed the industry’s waste. This realization fuelled her shift toward sustainable practices. In 2019, Reem launched La Terre Luxury, Qatar’s first platform for sustainable fashion, cosmetics, and homeware, introducing over 30 ethical brands to the region.
Her efforts to explore natural dye techniques using flower waste and promote zero-waste fashion have made her a leading advocate for change. Through the zero-waste abaya, Reem not only aims to honor Qatari culture but also address global environmental challenges, creating a legacy of positive change for her three children and future generations.
