Dr. Osman Umarji holds a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master's and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from UC Irvine.
He has studied Islamic law at al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. His research focuses on the development of human motivation, religious socialization, spirituality, and Islamic law and legal theory.
Dr. Umarji is a lecturer in the School of Education at UC Irvine. He has numerous academic publications in top journals related to education and religion. He currently serves as a senior consultant to the Qatar Foundation in the Office of Strategic Initiatives.
