
Chris Williamson is the Founding Partner of Weston Williamson, established in London in 1985, and he has developed a specialism in the design of safe, efficient, beautiful urban transport.
Chris was the Project Partner for the London Bridge Jubilee Line Station 1990-1999 and has since worked on similar city shaping transport projects in London, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Toronto, and Saudi Arabia. Most recently, Chris worked on the two award-winning Elizabeth Line stations, Paddington and Woolwich. In addition to being an architect, Chris is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute having completed an MA in Urban Design. Chris is also a member of the Association of Project Managers having completed an MSc in Project Management. Chris was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Architecture from the University of East London in 2024 and will take up the post as President of the Royal Institute of British Architects from September 2025 to September 2027. Chris also teaches at several universities and mentors young architects. Chris ran a programme at the London School of Architecture in 2024 studying the benefits of hand crafted locally sourced traditional building methods as a contrast to the general direction of the construction industry.
