Abdulrahman Aleryani is an expert in water resource management and environmental conservation with extensive experience in addressing the challenges of water resource crises and environmental degradation of Yemen. He served as the Minister of Water and Environment in the Republic of Yemen (2006-2011), where he spearheaded initiatives to ensure sustainable water use and protect the country's fragile ecosystems. Mr. Aleryani has also played a key role in promoting community-based development and biodiversity conservation, notably through his work as National Manager for the Socotra Conservation and Development Program in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Socotra Archipelago.

Currently, he serves as an advisor at Qatar Foundation, contributing his expertise to address critical environment sustainability challenges. Mr. Al-Eryani holds an MSc. in Animal Sciences from Colorado State University and a BSc. in Agricultural Science from the American University of Beirut.
