The Holy Quran and Sunnah provided us with many reflections, stories, and teachings to guide us as individuals and societies to contemplate the words of Allah. As Muslims, we aim to achieve a state of morality to act responsibly and fulfill our vocation and maintain the delicate balance of God’s perfect creation.
Earthna and in collaboration with the College of Islamic Studies in Hamad Bin Khalifa University, aim to introduce a new environmental ethical framework for sustainable futures on Earth. This session, with the insights of profound scholars, we posit that the sustainability of humans as moral beings precedes environmental sustainability. Through a semiotic and multiplex approach to nature. We aim to redefine nature as a meaningful and relational entity carrying a semiotic function. We invite you to reimagine our relationship with the natural world aiming to inspire a shift from exploitation to stewardship.
