Hello everyone! As part of the sustainability week activities organized by the QGBC The Embassy of France and the French Institute Qatar, Doha Environmental Actions Project (DEAP), Project Rescue Ocean Qatar and Doha Accueil are joining forces and invite the general public to participate on our "Al Zubara Fort visit and beach cleanup". This is a kid and family friendly event.
_x000d_ _x000d_During this event people will have the opportunity to visit a beautiful historic site in Qatar, and participate on a beach cleanup. Most importantly, you will help us continue our work to allow Qatar’s natural landscapes to remain a beautiful source of pride and a litter free space for generations to come.
_x000d_ _x000d_Schedule for the day:
_x000d_*11am If you’re carpooling meet with DEAP team of volunteers at 11am at Dairy Queen (near Radisson Blue, C-Ring and Salwa Road): https://goo.gl/maps/2MKTaXdHeFs
_x000d_*11:30am Departure to the fort at 11:30 sharp.
_x000d_*1 pm Arrival at Zubara fort. We will meet at Al Zubara Fort parking lot. If you're not carpooling go directly to the fort.

_x000d_*1-2 pm Visit to the fort.
_x000d_*2-4pm Beach cleanup. At the end of the fort visit we will drive 6 minutes to a nearby beach for the clean up and social gathering.

_x000d_Sedans and buses can access the beach. 4x4 is not needed.
_x000d_*4-5pm Socializing and networking at the beach, share food, play games, etc.

_x000d_-Go to transportation plan under discussion and write in a comment if you need a ride, or if you will be driving please tell us how many seats you have available.

_x000d_- Water and drinks, preferably on reusable water bottles.
_x000d_- Food to share and reusable mugs/plates, etc.
_x000d_- Hat, towel, sunscreen, change of clothes if you wish you swim. Closed shoes are recommended but not mandatory.
_x000d_-Work or gardening gloves.
_x000d_-Your beautiful smiles, and the willingness to have fun and meet other people.
_x000d_- Bags for trash collection will be provided to all participants.
