Blue Butterflies Expo will be conducted at Qatar Academy Sidra from Oct 24-28. It is named after blue Morpho butterflies which are endangered due to habitat fragmentation and deforestation.

Various aspects of sustainability will be dealt with in the Expo like SDG's, self sustaining ecosystems, Global Warming, Microgreens, Food preservation, Lacto fermentation, Composting, Water Filtration, Over consumerism, Sustainability initiatives in Qatar etc...

The impact of meat industry will be addressed during the week through a program called Meatless Monday when the school will go vegetarian.

On Tuesday ,we will celebrate sustainable dress day to understand the impact of textile industry on the sustainability of the planet. On Wednesday, various gardening activities are planned to encourage self sufficiency in food and to introduce organic agriculture to our students.

We will conclude the week by declaring the winners of the poster making competition held during the entire week titled " we care for our planet"
