On the occasion of the Italian Design Day 2020 (IDD) dedicated to the theme "Drawing the future. Development, Innovation, Sustainability, Beauty”, the Embassy of Italy in Qatar has organized in cooperation with Park Associati (architectural practice based in Milan), ILO project Office in Qatar and the Arab Youth Climate Movement Qatar, the webinar "Well-being in the Workplace", which will take place on November 5th, 2020, from 10:30 am to 11-30 am.
Main topic of the webinar is sustainable design with its positive impact on occupational health and environment protection.
In recent years the world of work has undergone drastic changes which have redefined the organization of the workplace. At the same time there has been an increased awareness of the instrumental role played by the quality of work environments in the promotion and protection of health and safety of workers. These aspects have become crucial in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Milan is an example of this transformation, which has led to a reappraisal of the working environment in the city through different strategies. The emergence of new working communities has led to the creation of efficient and innovative buildings and, at the same time, the redevelopment of the post-war and modern architecture heritage.
The webinar is part of the official programme of events within the 5th edition of the Qatar Sustainability Week, an initiative launched by the Qatar Green Building Council to further engage the community in a wide range of sustainability-oriented activities and showcasing the progress made so far in the areas of sustainability and green buildings
