On the occasion of launching the 7th edition of Qatar Sustainability Week, an event that aims to engage the community, raising awareness, and showcasing the progress Qatar has made in the areas of sustainability, Studio 5/6 is joining the initiative through conducting workshops related to sustainability, upcycling, and creating robots from electrical waste.

These workshops are suitable for the youth in Qatar between 11-14 years old who will visit Elite Paper Recycling on the first day and learn about the process of paper recycling, then experience an extensive 2-hour sessions for three days on how to disassemble electrical components, understand how these components work, then end their journey with a hackathon, where they make their own projects using these electronic components and recycled cardboards donated by Elite. Finally, the participant’s final projects will be evaluated by a jury and a winner will be announced. The sessions and hackathon event will be taking place at Workinton M7, a coworking space designed for innovation driven and creative entrepreneurs.

This program will take place from the 9th of October to the 15th of October in collaboration with Workinton Qatar and Elite Paper Recycling.
